From our mountain top home, we create one-of-a-kind timeless works of art using natural wood slabs from tree species native to the Western North Carolina mountains and epoxy resin.  Living in one of the world's most ecologically diverse areas for trees, we have some of the most beautiful trees in the world to choose from.  
We have connections to many local arborists who contact us when they have logs available.  We select and purchase only the most highly-figured, beautiful trees, which we mill on one of our sawmills and kiln dry in our kiln.  This local connection allows us to specialize in a wide assortment of rare and beautiful local trees, including highly sought-after burl wood. Using only local, environmentally-sourced trees, we  produce live edge, natural edge, epoxy resin tables and each is the only one just like it any where in the world.
We breathe new life into trees that would have otherwise been discarded, creating from them timeless works of functional art.   Slabs for each project are carefully selected, and the project is designed to accentuate the natural character that the wood has to offer.
With an artist’s eye and 30+ years’ skill as a woodworker, we preserve the intricate, unmatched grain and beauty while accenting it with the versatile artistry of epoxy resin, turning knots and voids into stunning design elements.

  • Monster Burls!

    Burl slabs of this size and quality are extremely rare, but we have several of the! These are 11’ L x up to 48” W and come from our ‘BLT- Burl Lake Toxaway’ tree.

  • "BLT": Burl Lake Toxaway

    This enormous burl tree was growing on the shore of Lake Toxaway until tropical Storm Fred took it down in August of 2021. The character in this tree is unbelievable. We have built several masterpieces from it, and have enough for many more.

  • Patton Mtn Burl

    This burl root was growing on our property in Pisgah Forest, NC. We got several gorgeous burl slices from it for tables.

  • The Dumbell

    This oak log had two giant burls on it that made it look like a huge dumbell. The slices from it have a unique filigree pattern.
